As BoxingScene.com previously reported, a deal was finalized for fast rising Russian junior middleweight prospect Magomed Kurbanov (10-0, 8 KOs) to take on former three division world champion Shane Mosley (49-10-1, 41 KOs).

The fight is scheduled for twelve round and with the vacant WBO Inter-Continental junior middleweight championship at stake.

The fight will be held on May 5 in Yekaterinburg and will headline a big event, organized by promotional company RCC Boxing Promotions (Titov Boxing Promotions), with the support of the Sverdlovsk region governor Evgeny Kuyvasheva.

The Mosley vs. Kurbanov will have a multi-city media tour in Russia, and both fighters are expected to participate.

The full schedule of the tour was revealed over the weekend.

March 7, Moscow, a press conference in the press center of the TASS (beginning at 17:00).

March 8, Makhachkala, a press conference at the Ministry of Sports (beginning at 15:00).

March 9th St. Petersburg, the press conference in the press center of the TASS (beginning at 13-45).

March 13, Ekaterinburg, press-conference in the press center of the TASS (beginning at 12-00).

Kurbanov turned pro in June of 2015. He fought five times in 2016. Mosley has been out of the ring since last June, when he lost a twelve round decision to another Russian fighter, David Avanesyan.

Mosley, who 45 years old, is 3-5-1 in his last nine fights dating back to 2010.
