Ben Shalom, who promotes Liverpool's WBO, IBF, WBC junior middleweight champion Natasha Jonas, would certainly be interested in matching her against Claressa Shields, who is currently the undisputed middleweight champion.

Both Shields and Jonas have expressed interest in fighting each other.

Shalom will meet with Jonas and her handlers in the near future to discuss her options for a ring return in the first quarter of the coming year.

"There definitely is the possibility to see Jonas-Shields without a doubt," Shalom said to Sky Sports. "Tasha wants the biggest names and it doesn't get much bigger than Claressa Shields.

"Tasha's got three belts now and she's popular, her profile's big and she's a money fight for a lot of fighters. So she's got one or two fights left. She just wants the biggest names and the Claressa Shields fight could happen.

"We'll chat with her next week, she'll fight in March. It definitely will be a very big fight and we'll make a decision in the next few weeks."

During 2022, Jonas moved up by several weight classes and captured three world titles in the weight class.

Shields is a three division world champion and had previously held the undisputed crown at 154-pounds.

In 2022, Shields took part in one of the biggest fights for women's boxing when she traveled over to UK and won a ten round unanimous decision over her career rival, Savannah Marshall, to become the undisputed champion at 160. Marshall had defeated Shields in the amateurs 10 years earlier.
