Junior middleweight contender Serhii Bohachuk was victorious again, stopping Nathaniel Gallimore Friday night at the Quiet Cannon in Montebello, California.

The Ukraine-born Bohachuk, who lives and trains in Los Angeles, improves to 22-1, 22 knockouts.

Gallimore was game early in the fight, staying in the pocket and trading with Bohachuk. As the bout progressed, Bohachuk’s punches began to take their toll. Gallimore’s punch output began to drop with each passing round as Bohachuk mixed his attack to the head and body.

The end came late in the sixth round as Bohachuk landed a barrage of punches as Gallimore had his back against the ropes. Referee Ray Corona thought Gallimore took too much punishment, decided to step in and stop the fight at 2:58.

The 27-year-old previously fought on November 3, also at the Quiet Cannon, stopping Aaron Coley in the second round. He had been in the Ukraine for several months, serving in the army in its conflict against Russia.

Bohachuk, who is promoted by Tom Loeffler, has won his last four bouts since losing by knockout to Brandon Adams in March 2021.

Gallimore, who resides in Des Plaines, Illinois, drops to 22-7-1, 17 KOs. The 34-year-old has now lost six of his last eight bouts. He was coming off a unanimous decision loss to Fiodor Czerkaszyn.

In the co-feature, featherweight Omar Cande Trinidad improved to 11-0-1, 9 KOs, dropping Jose Luis Ramirez once in round 1 and round 2 before ending matters at 47 of the second round.

Ramirez, who is originally from Mazatlan, Mexico and now resides in Oxnard, California, drops to 28-9, 16 KOs.

In a clash of unbeaten light heavyweights, Umar Dzambekov knocked out Paul Fleming (2-1, 1 KO) of Hammond, Indiana at 1:22 of the second round. The Russia-born Dzambekov, who is managed by Steven Feder and now lives and trains in Los Angeles, improves to 3-0, 2 KOs.
