WBO junior middleweight champion Sergiy Dzinziruk (35-0, 22KOs) speaks with BoxingScene.com ahead of his upcoming fight with mandatory challenger Joel Julio, which takes place at Koenig Pilsener Arena in Oberhausen, Germany on November 1, 2008.

BoxingScene.com: Hello, Sergiy , I'm glad to see you again. How do you feel?

Dzinziruk: Hi, Alex. I feel very good, thank you.

BoxingScene.com: How there is your preparation going for the fight with Joel Julio?

Dzinziruk: My preparation for fight is goes very well. My physical preparation for fight is finished. On Monday I'm going to  start to working with other boxers sparring.

BoxingScene.com: Who are some of the boxers you are working with?

Dzinziruk: They are two very qualified boxers who are part of my training camp. One boxer is from Belarus. Their styles is similiar to Julio and will prepare for the mandatory fight. I'm preparing for the fight with Joel Julio from all angles.

BoxingScene.com: Where will do you plan to hold your camp?

Dzinziruk: As always, in Hamburg.

BoxingScene.com:  What tell about Julio? What do you know about him?

Dzinziruk: He's very young boxer. Нe's only 23-years-old, but already took part in 35 fights. I have thoroughly studied him, in particular I watched videos of his fights.

BoxingScene.com: Is there a possibility in the future to hold a rematch with Lukas Konecny? Some experts had Konecny as the winner of your fight.

Dzinziruk: Yes, such a fight is possible. Personally, me and my managers wanted the rematch to take place, but the WBO informed us that I need to defend the title against Julio. For me it was very unexpected.

BoxingScene.com: A Question concerning the future of your career. Whether you think about unifiying the titles?

Dzinziruk: The severe reality is that it's impossible. The American world champions do not wish to stage fights with boxers from Europe, even if he is the champion. I can't do anything from here, they don't want to come to Germany. Simply telling saying they are not interesting. Though I am ready to fight in the ring against any world champion. I can only wait, and if an offer arrives, then I'll address it.

BoxingScene.com: Are you going to continue working with Universum Box Promotion?

Dzinziruk: My contract with Universum Box Promotion has ended. I will work with them on a fight by fight basis. If I receive a favorable offer from another promoter, I can easy leave Universum.

BoxingScene.com: Do you wish to create your own promotional company like the one that was made by Andreas Kotelnik?

Dzinziruk: Maybe. I think that I can create own promotion company to stage a fight in Ukraine. You have to understand, creating a company on the level of the Klitschko brothers I can't. For that you need a lot of money.

BoxingScene.com: There have been rumors that you might become a K2 boxer.

Dzinziruk: Yes, I talked about it with Vitali Klitschko. We have discussed such a possibility but right now I have nothing to tell. They are not ready to pay me the kind of money that I receive in Germany.

BoxingScene.com: You have already been a part of 35 fights and picked up 35 victories. Do you ever think about getting to 49 wins in order to reach the record of Rocky Marciano?

Dzinziruk: I don't think that I'll have 14 more fights (laughs)

BoxingScene.com: Really? You are not motivated to reach such a record?

Dzinziruk: You sound surprised, but the answer is no.

BoxingScene.com: I know that at you have added another member to your family, accept our congratulations.

Dzinziruk: Thank you. Yes, my spouse has recently given me a second daughter. It movivates me even more to win. Now the wife and my children are in Ukraine. I keep in touch through the phone and the Internet.

BoxingScene.com: Thank you for interview.

Dzinziruk: And you thanks Alex, to all readers of BoxingScene.com - I wish you all the best.
