Middleweight king Sergio Martinez is siding with Erislandy Lara. Martinez scored Saturday's fight in favor of the Cuban boxer, with a final marker of 116-111. HBO had it scored 117-111 for Lara, but the three official judges saw a different outcome, and handed Paul "The Punisher" Williams a twelve round majority decision win. The official scores were 114-114, 115-114 and 116-114.

After the fight was over, Williams challenged Martinez to a trilogy fight. Williams won a controversial majority decision over Martinez in December of 2009, which Martinez avenged with a two round knockout in their November 2010 rematch. Martinez returns in October against Darren Barker, and has other opportunities on his mind. He said Williams would be a perfect opponent for Miguel Cotto and Sergei Dzinziruk, who are both champions at 154-pounds.

"Paul is a perfect oponent for Cotto or Dzinziriuk," Martinez said.
