Former world champion Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez (57-3-2) of Argentina has announced on social media hat he will challenge IBO middleweight titlist Etinosa Oliha (18-0) on November 25 in Rietberg (Germany).

Oliha, from Italy, is promoted by AGON Sports in Germany and won the title on July 1 in Wuppertal with a hard-fought points win over Chilean Julio Alamos. This will be his first defense of the title - however, AGON's matchmaker Hagen Doering says the fight is not confirmed yet.

The once great "Maravilla" Martinez, now 48 years old, is 6-0 since coming back in 2020 but has not yet faced any world class opponents to date.

Martinez last fought back in March, when he wiped out Jhon Teheran in the first round.

IN OTHER NEWS: A few days ago, Eye of The Tiger confirmed that Mary Spencer would be the headliner for its October 11th event at the Montreal Casino, with the IBF super welterweight world title at stake. In addition, the IBO belt currently held by her opponent, Femke Hermans, who won it from Spencer last December, will also be on the line. This will be the Belgian's third defense as she faces the Canadian.

In their first encounter in Shawinigan on December 16 of 2022, Hermans (16-4, 7 KOs) had the upper hand over her rival, securing the IBO title through a unanimous decision. The fight kept the audience on the edge of their seats as they often went toe to toe at close range, and the rematch promises to be equally intense as Spencer (7-1, 5 KOs) is determined to get revenge by leaving the ring with both the IBO and IBF titles.
