On the 15th of September at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Argentine fighter Sergio 'Maravilla' Martinez (49-2-2, 28 KOs) will challenge Mexico's Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (46-0-1, 32 KOs) for the WBC's middleweight crown in a high profile HBO pay-per-view main event.

'Maravilla' Martinez, a two-time world champion is considered by most experts as one of the best pound for pound boxers in the world. He feels Chavez Jr. has been overprotected for his entire career. He wants to punish him and stop the Mexican star by knockout.

Martinez, 37-years-old, is the favorite to win even though he is 11 years older than the unbeaten Chavez Jr. (26 years).

"The truth is, I've prepared much better for this fight [than I have for other fights], because I'm so motivated. I am responding much better [in this camp] than I have in my previous fights. He's been overprotected. And once he was the champion we had to wait for him to mature, to progress, but he was still champion - so I find it shameful. And that's overprotection," Martinez said.

"I am going to do my job and I plan to win in the best way possible. And the best way to win is by knockout. I also want to [win in] the most spectacular way. Physically he is very big and strong, but he has no chance with me. I will not allow [Chavez the] option of getting to the [score] cards. I will work to death in order to win by knockout before [Chavez is capable of] reaching the [fight's time] limit."
