Former EBU super lightweight champ and two-time world title challenger Anthony Yigit (28-4-1) continues his busy schedule in 2024.

Yigit begins the year - as previously reported by BoxingScene - with a January12th return in Stockholm. The bout is a six-rounder against Norwegian Jamshid Nazari (10-1). This fight is made at welterweight.

If all goes well, then Yigit is reportedly going to fight Sean McComb (18-1) on January 27 as part of Matchroom's show at the Newforge Sports Compex in Belfast.

The fight has not been officially confirmed but several sources, including Boxing Tickets NI, indicate the fight is going to happen. Yigit himself has confirmed that he signed a contract for a fight in the UK in late January.

After that, Yigit was lined up to fight on Match 9 in Malmo, Sweden, but this event was postponed until April 13.

On top of that Yigit is also a fitness coach and also does some acting.

The Belfast card is headlined by local welterweight Lewis Crocker, who takes on Mexican danger-man Jose Felix. The 26-year-old Crocker (18-0, 10 KOs) is out to make a statement against the man who handed Gary Cully his first loss in the professional ranks last May in Dublin.

Also on the card, cruiserweight contender Cheavon Clarke (7-0, 5 KOs) faces the biggest test of his career to date when he meets Belfast’s former European champion Tommy McCarthy (20-5, 10 KOs).
