Heavyweight contender Malik Scott is not buying Bermane Stiverne's explanation for the recent twelve round decision loss to Deontay Wilder.

Two weeks ago, Wilder (33-0, 32KOs) captured the WBC heavyweight title with a better than expected performance against Stiverne (24-2-1, 21KOs) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Scott was knocked out in one round by Wilder in their WBC final eliminator in 2014. That victory earned Wilder a shot at Stiverne. Scott was ringside at the MGM.

Following the loss, Stiverne blamed the bulk of his defeat on a medical condition which led to severe dehydration. Stiverne spent two days in the hospital following the fight.

"I think the problem with Stiverne was Deontay Wilder. I don't want to hear no sh*t about nobody in no hospital or this one or that one, because you're perfectly fine at a press conference when you're saying that you want to catch a case, you're perfectly fine when you're saying the fight is not going to go past four rounds. I don't feel that its fair to the public or the people who bought their tickets or even Deontay's victory to even put those type of excuses out there. The best man won that night and that's it," Scott told BoxingScene.com.
