Floyd Schofield Jr. and Daniel Rosas are set to meet at the crossroads.

Both boxers made weight ahead of their scheduled eight-round lightweight bout, which takes place Thursday evening live on DAZN from Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California. Schofield checked in at 134.8 pounds, while Rosas tipped the scales at 132 pounds.

The event marks the official Golden Boy Promotions debut for Schofield (11-0, 9KOs). The 20-year-old from Austin, Texas fought on a Golden Boy-promoted show on August 6 in Fort Worth, less than two weeks before formally signing with the California-based company. The partnership begins with Schofield’s first televised headliner, which he hopes will lead to a regional title fight and eventual shot at the real thing in 2023.

Rosas (22-5-1, 14KOs) has not fought since a second-round knockout loss to former title challenger Lamont Roach last July 9 in Los Angeles. The 33-year-old former title challenger from Mexico City has seen better days but hopes to at least make things uncomfortable for a rising prospect 13 years his junior.

The co-feature pits a former long-reigning titlist and a former title challenger, both of whom fell well short against reigning WBA strawweight champ Seniesa Estrada.

Anabel Ortiz meets Maria Santizo both made weight for their scheduled eight-round junior flyweight bout. Mexico City’s Ortiz (32-5, 4KOs) was 108 pounds, while Guatemala City’s Santizo (10-1, 6KOs) was 106.6 pounds.

Ortiz suffered a ten-round shutout defeat to Estrada last March, ending her lengthy WBA strawweight title reign. She then moved up two divisions, only to drop a ten-round decision to Marlen Esparza in their WBC flyweight title fight. Ortiz has since rebounded with an eight-round win at junior flyweight on September 10 in Nezahualcoyotl, Mexico.

Santizo rebounded from a fifth-round knockout to Estrada last September with a fifth-round knockout of Maria de Lourdes Garcia less than two weeks ago in Jamay, Mexico.
