Junior middleweight contender Saul "Canelo" Alvarez has answered back to the recent taunts of his Mexican rival Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. On Monday, Chavez once against threw out a challenge for Alvarez to fight him. Chavez said that he didn't need a fight with Alvarez, and it was Alvarez who badly needed the fight.

Alvarez would gladly take the challenge. He doesn't see Chavez Jr. as anything special but a fighter with a famous last name.

"He is nothing special, and except for his name, he is just like any other opponent," Alvarez said. "I wish he would [fight me], because a lot of people would talk about it. But if it doesn't happen, I don't care. I'm getting my way and I don't need to fight him to get what I want. He's a boxer like everyone else, nothing special. The difference is that I have made my own career and I didn't need someone else's name to get there."
