Promoter Kalle Sauerland of Sauerland Event is very interested in pushing forward with the mandatory fight between challenger Dereck Chisora and EBU heavyweight champion Robert Helenius.

The fight between Chisora and Helenius was recently ordered by the EBU.

Chisora (24-5, 16KO) lost a controversial twelve round split decision to Helenius in 2011, when they battled for the EBU belt in Helsinki, Finland. His other defeats came at the hands of Vitali Klitschko, David Haye and twice to current world champion Tyson Fury.

Ironically, back then Sauerland promoted Helenius and Chisora was the outsider being handled by Frank Warren. Now the tables have turned, where Sauerland promotes Chisora and Helenius is self-promoted.

Once the fight with Helenius has pushed through, then Sauerland would consider matching Chisora in some all-British showdowns with Anthony Joshua (15-, 15KOs) and Dillian Whyte (16-1, 13KOs). Chisora's most recent win, on December 12th in London, came on the undercard of Joshua's knockout victory of Whyte.

Sauerland told Sky Sports: "At the moment, we're looking to go down the EBU route because he's a mandatory challenge to Helenius but there are some big domestic fights to be had, too. There is the Anthony Joshua fight and the Dillian Whyte fight. Both those guys put on a great show when they fought each other.

"Dillian Whyte certainly didn't do himself any harm with his performance. He definitely had Anthony shaken at one point in the fight and Dillian Whyte will definitely come again. Whether that's a fight for Chisora next year, we'll take it step by step but first of all we want to get that revenge against Helenius."
