Deontay Wilder will fight either Dereck Chisora or Robert Helenius for the WBC world heavyweight title.

The world champion (38-0, 37 KOs) was last in action on February 25 when he dispatched of Gerald Washington inside five rounds.

And he now has his next challenger set in the shape of the winner of the vacant WBC Silver heavyweight title showdown between ‘Del Boy’ and ‘The Nordic Nightmare’.

Chisora, 33, and his Finnish counterpart, also 33, are set to meet, on May 27 at the Hartwell Arena in Helsinki, in a rematch after the Swedish-born fighter was rewarded a contentious split decision victory in their first meeting back in 2011.

“Del Boy V Helenius.... winner takes on Deontay Wilder. Going to be some night in Hell-sinki,” is how the two fighters’ promotional company Team Sauerland revealed the news on Twitter.

Further details regarding the fight and the winner getting a crack at 31-year-old Wilder’s belt will be revealed in due course.
