StubHub Center, Carson, California - Leo Santa Cruz (25-0-1, 15KOs) beat down Victor Terrazas (37-3-1, 21KOs) in three rounds to capture the WBC super bantamweight championship. Santa Cruz becomes a two-division beltholder.

Santa Cruz had Terrazas on the backfoot in the very first round. Terrazas was fighting back hard, but getting hit often in the process. In the second, the right eye of Terrazas was swelling shut from the incoming punches and there were plenty of them landing.

During the third, a series of punches sent Terrazas down along the ropes. Santa Cruz was on the attack when Terrazas beat the count. Terrazas was trying his best to counter back, but he was dropped for a second time from another series of shots. He once again beat the count. The referee took a good look at the damaged face of Terrazas and waved things off.
