Ringside Report by David Selwyn

Undefeated Dmitriy " Star of David" Salita (22-0) did not disappoint hundreds of his hometown fans at the Manhattan Center in New York on Thursday night and won an 8th round TKO over Louis Brown (14-2)

After a close first round where both fighters kept their distance, Salita dominated the rest of the fight. Brown’s nose started bleeding in round two and never stopped bleeding. Salita was the more accurate with his punches and landed the harder blows throughout the fight. Brown was never close to being knocked down, but he struggled with Salita's level of power and skill in every round. Brown's bloody nose was distracting him from the fight as it was apparent that the constant flow of blood was bothering him. The general feeling at ringside is that Brown suffered a badly broken nose during the fight Even Salita was covered in the blood pouring out from the nose of Brown.

Between rounds three and four, Hector Roca, Salita’s head trainer could be heard saying "I do not want big shots I want pop pop pop pop ." And thats what Salita did until the Doctor stopped the fight in Brown’s corner after the 8th round.

The Salita-Brown fight was the main event on a card that was long. Four of the seven fights went the distance. 41 out of a possible 48 rounds were fought
