Thomas & Mack Center, Las Vegas - Orlando Salido (40-12-2, 28KOs) has brought his career back on track with a seventh round knockout of Orlando Cruz (20-3-1, 10KOs) to capture the vacant WBO featherweight title.

Cruz moved well and appeared to be the better boxer, but it was Salido who was landing the harder shots, doing the most damage, and putting together hard combinations to push Cruz back. In the seventh, Salido was blasting away with punches and landed a series of shots to the head and body, which sent Cruz down for the count.
