Mexico's Juan Carlos Salgado hopes the upcoming battle of former champions with Takahiro Aoh, on November 8th in Tokyo, will catapult him toward another world title opportunity.

Salgado is training at the gym Pancho Rosales of Mexico City. He'll be fighting on the same card, where the WBC super featherweight champion, Takashi Miura, will face official challenger, Edgar Puerta.

"I have the opportunity to rise again and get back into the spotlight, just where I was a few years ago," Salgado said.

About his bout against Aoh, he commented "the fight will be at lightweight division, I aspire to do important things in this division, and the first test will be against Takahiro."

Juan Carlos Salgado has a record of 26-3-1 with 16 knockouts while Takahiro Aoh has a record of 26-3-1, 12 KOs.
