Ryan Walsh has had his next fight pushed back.

The Cromer featherweight, who is the British champion, had been set to defend his crown on May 6, exclusively live on BT Sport and BoxNation.

But Walsh (21-2-1, 10 KOs), who lost in a challenge for the vacant European belt last October, will now face opponent Marco McCullough (17-3, 10 KOs) on May 20.

The fight will feature at the same venue as originally planned –– London’s Copper Box Arena –– but will now form part of the undercard to Ryan’s brother Liam’s world super-featherweight title challenge against undefeated American IBF champion Gervonta Davis, which is being promoted by Frank Warren in association with Floyd Mayweather.

McCullough warmed up for his showdown against Walsh with a points victory over Leonel Hernandez in Belfast on March 10, exclusively live on BoxNation, at the Waterfront Hall.

The whole of the bill which was set for May 6 has now been moved to May 20, including Bradley Skeete’s British welterweight title defence against mandatory challenger Shayne Singleton.

There is a battle of the undefeated super-welterweights as Joe Pigford takes on Aarron Morgan and heavyweight hope Daniel Dubois will feature.

Elsewhere on the card, Boy Jones Jr., who lost his Southern Area super-featherweight title after being knocked out by Craig Poxton last month, will return.

Hard-punching Ilford light-heavyweight Anthony Yarde is back and the card is completed by a whole host of undefeated prospects, including Sammy McNess, Lerrone Richards, Lucien Reid, Archie Sharp, Sanjeev Sahota, Billy Long, Ben Smith and Sunny Edwards.

Boxing Scene was told by representatives of Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions on Friday (March 10) that a formal announcement will be made in due course.
