Ryan Garner was taken the distance for the first time in his pro career, but it did him no harm as he cruised to a 40-37 points win.

The 19-year-old impressed the masses in Leeds with some quality boxing skill and hard hitting power that had his 24-year-old opponent Rafael Castillo scrambling on a number of occasions.

'The Piranha' looked to be enjoying his workout in front of the BT Sport and BoxNation cameras and is a talent to watch if his performance at the First Direct Arena is anything to go by.

Castillo stayed up till the end, much to the surprise of many ringside observers, as the Southampton man struggled to miss with his right hand. He pressed forward as he looked to add to his perfect 4-0 record.

He got the win, but Castillo proved a tough nut to crack and in the end Garner boxed his way to an easy points win, showing off his talent in the fourth and final round by boxing on the back foot and picking his shots with something of consummate ease.

Meanwhile, Zak Chelli is now 2-0 after stopping Chris Dutton, who suffered an ankle injury following being knocked down a second time, inside two rounds.
