Ynares Sports Arena, Pasig City - Sanman’s unbeaten prospect RV Deniega now (W7 KO4 L0) dominated former World Boxing Council (WBC) world flyweight champion Sonny Boy Jaro and ended the fight in the fourth round.

Their clash was a supporting bout of the Edward Heno versus Renoel Pael clash.

Jaro came in game and aggressive but started pedaling away when he felt the power from Deniega’s combinations. Jaro was floored in the second round but shrugged it off and even began taunting the younger GenSan native.

It was in the fateful round four when Jaro was being playful with his guard down - which allowed him to get caught with a two punch combo, with a straight to the temple that ended the night.

Deniega was very pleased with the win.

“It was a great experience to fight a great world champion like Sonny Boy. He was strong but obviously, youth, speed and power is what made me win impressively. It has been a great winning streak for Sanman fighters recently. I pray that this continues. I can’t wait for the bigger fights out there," Deniega stated.
