Former world heavyweight champion Ruslan Chagaev (30-2-1, 19KOs) of Uzbekistan, recently replaced his coach, and plans to continue training at the Kronk Gym in Detroit under the Sugar Hill. The Detroit trainer also works with Dmitry Salita, Cornelius Bundrage and Jonathan Banks, and he is also a mentor to absolute world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.

"We quickly found a common language. He's a very positive person. I like to work with Sugar. He is a former police officer, who retired from boxing, and he's the nephew of Emanuel Steward, the late coach of Wladimir Klitschko. Sugar often helped his uncle with his work and plans to continue his work. He just hones [a fighter's] boxing skills. General physical training is being conducted by another coach. Sugar keeps everything under control. Soon we will share with him the baptism of fire, and then, I hope that our cooperation will continue," Chagaev said.
