Nicaraguan Cristian Ruiz, with a flawless record of 15 wins (11 KOs) during a career that expands the four years, will place his undefeated record on the line this coming February 19 against the dangerous world ranked boxer Alberto "The Machine Gun" Mosquera (15-0, 12KOs) of Panama for the WBA Fedelatin light welterweight title. The winner will climb in the rankings and get closer to a possible shot at the champion, Amir Khan of England.

"It will be a fight with a high degree of risk, but my mission is to win regardless," said Ruiz, who has been training in the gym of St. Jude Roger Deshon.

For Cristian, this will be his first big test of fire and international boxing. None of the opponents he has faced in the past are similar to the talent and boxing ability which Mosquera has.

"I'm motivated, without any pressure for this fight. There is no doubt that to win in Panama I have to win widely or look for a knockout, which I think I can get, but it's all about mental focus and having a good physical preparation," said Ruiz.

Ruiz stopped his last three opponents and Mosquera knocked out his last six.
