Magomedrasul Majidov will return to the ring next month.

The three-time amateur world champion turned professional earlier this year when he signed a deal with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing.

Majidov defeated Olympic medallists like Anthony Joshua, Erislandy Savon, Ivan Dychko, and Roberto Cammarelle during his career in the unpaid ranks before storming to a fourth-round stoppage win over Ed Fountain at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York, exclusively live on DAZN Stateside and Sky Sports in the UK, when he made his bow in the paid code back in September.

And it has now been revealed that the 33-year-old Azerbaijani fighter, who is based in Russia, will be back between the ropes on December 7.

Majidov will fight at the 15,000-capacity purpose-built Diriyah Arena in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, as part of the supporting cast to the aforementioned Joshua’s rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr. for the latter’s WBA Super, IBF, IBO and WBO world heavyweight titles.

Boxing Scene understands that Majidov will take on Tom Little in either a six- or eight-round contest on the card that will be screened exclusively live on Sky Sports Box Office in the UK at a fee of £24.95.

Little, 32, has lost his last three fights by stoppage and was last seen being defeated inside the distance by former British and Commonwealth heavyweight king David Price at the O2 Arena in London back in December 2018.

The fight has yet to be formally confirmed, but Boxing Scene understands it will form part of the fun as Ruiz Jr. and Joshua do battle for a second time in a dust-up in the desert.

Filip Hrgovic, another man who has recently defeated Tom Little, will box on the card in a defence of his WBC International heavyweight title against former ‘AJ’ opponent Eric Molina, while there is a fight between Alexander Povetkin and Michael Hunter set as the chief support.

Dillian Whyte could yet be added to the bill and further details will be revealed in due course.
