Super middleweight contender Edgar Berlanga (16-0, 16 KOs) will look to continue his streak of knockouts on Saturday night in Florida.

In a contest being televised on ESPN, Berlanga will face the more experienced Demond Nicholson (23-3-1).

Berlanga has not only knocked out every opponent on his record - none of them were able to get out of the first round.

Berlanga’s last two opponents were also more experienced - but both Lanell Bellows (20-6-3) and Ulises Sierra (15-2-2) were unable to make it to the second round.

A win over Nicholson could lead to a fight in June with world title challenger Jesse Hart, who has never been stopped as a pro and was able to last the distance with big punchers like Gilberto Ramirez and Joe Smith.

Andre Rozier, the head trainer of Berlanga, believes the 23-year-old boxer will eventually reach the biggest heights in the sport.

Over the years, Rozier has trained several top boxers like Daniel Jacobs, Sergiy Derevyanchenko, Curtis Stevens, Zab Judah and several others.

“Edgar is an amalgamation of punching power and aggression, and he’s like a seek-and-destroy missile,” Rozier told The Post. “Once the bell rings, he’s coming to get you. And that’s what makes him very exciting. … He brings a fierce attack to the ring, and he’s what people want to see.

“At this stage, he’s definitely on par with all of my super killers. He’s right there. He possesses the speed and the power and the size more so than any of the others. … He’s moving along at a perfect pace, but I think as he manifests and grows even more, he’s going to shine like a light and really just go all the way to the top and end up being a future hall of famer.”
