This past week on ATG Radio there was a press conference for Roy Jones Presents T.N.T. Promotions card ft Paul Spadafora-Solomon Ebergime this Saturday on GFL.TV.  During this press conference we had the opportunity to talk to lead promoter Roy Jones Jr about various subjects including this exciting night of fights.

When asked about his relationship with the late Emanuel Steward he had this to say:

"Emanuel was one of the 1st people in town to try to sign me as a professional when I came back from the Olympics.  I had agreed to everything Emanuel had said and agreed to sign the contract until my mother asked me to give my father a chance.  Because of that I had to turn down Emanuel's off and give my dad a chance because he got me so far.

Emanuel brought me a bag with my name on it and I carried that bag to every professional fight that I had.  I still have my 2nd Kronk bag and still take it to every fight I have.  The reason I carried the 1st & 2nd bag was a tribute to Manny Steward.  I wasn't a Kronk fighter by contract but I was a Kronk fighter by heart!"

During the rest of the chat he was asked about his willingness to face Glen Johnson again and he responded "I'll always want to fight him (Johnson) again.  I'll always want a rematch with Glen Johnson."

As far as his fight Paul Spadafora who faces Solomon Ebergime this Saturday night on GFL.TV he had this to say regarding his comeback "I think Paul making a comeback is one of the biggest things to happen to the sport in a long time!"
