Featherweight contender Ronny Rios will fight Efrain Esquivias on June 3, Golden Boy Promotions matchmaker Robert Diaz told BoxingScene.com in a recent interview.

The 10 round bout will take place at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles, Calif. Rios-Esquivias will air live on Estrella TV, beginning at 10 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. PT. RingTVLive.com will stream the entire Golden Boy Promotions card, beginning at 5:30 p.m. PT.

Rios (25-1, 10 KOs) scored his most impressive victory to date as a pro in his last bout, winning a hard-fought 10 round unanimous decision over Jayson Velez on November 21 in Las Vegas.

The 26-year-old from nearby Santa Ana has won his last two bouts since suffering his only defeat as a pro at the hands of Robinson Castellanos in October of 2014.

Rios is ranked number four by the WBC and seven by the IBF.

Esquivias (17-4-1, 10 KOs), who was once an amateur standout, has not fought in almost a year. He has lost his last two bouts and four of his last six. Sandwiched between those losses was an impressive ninth round knockout win over former two-time world titleholder Rafael Marquez in September of 2013.

Esquivias, who resides in nearby Carson, has lost to Jhonatan Romero and Ruben Tamayo.

No word yet on who would open the 'Boxeo Estelar' broadcast.
