BoxingScene.com recently caught up with super middleweight contender Ronald Gavril (18-2) who takes on WBC champion David Benavidez (19-0) on Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight will be rematch of their exciting September 8th fight that ended with Benavidez winning a controversial split decision.

Fans at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino were divided on who they thought deserved the win.  Gavril floored Benavidez in the 12th round and promises to pick up right where he left off.

"This time I won't leave the decision in the judges hands," Gavril told BoxingScene.com. "I am very confident. I will start this fight where I left that fight -like it is starting in the 13th round."

The 31-year-old Gavril's trainer Eddie Mustafa Muhammad is also very confident that his fighter will be able to score a knockout. He doesn't believe that Gavril needs to change much from his original game plan and feels that if he is a little bit more active in the fight that the result will be different.

"We are going to let our hands go more. That's all. If the knockout comes then it comes and I think it will. What can Benavidez do different? The only thing he can do different is grow another arm and that is it," Muhammad opined.

There definitely isn't any love lost between Gavril and Benavidez.  When asked what message he would like to give Benavidez he replied, "be ready because I am coming to hurt him. That is what I am going to do. I am ready to go."

Benavidez-Gavril will serve as the co-feature bout supporting the Danny Garcia-Brandon Rios Showtime main event.  Yordenis Ugas will open up the telecast against Ray Robinson in an IBF welterweight eliminator bout.
