Rubén Zayas Montañez Coliseum in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico - Former world champion ROMAN MARTINEZ made a return to the ring after nearly three years of inactivity to pick up an eight round TKO win over WILLIAM GONZÁLEZ.

Martínez  (30-3-3, 18 KOs) won by TKO at 1:03 of round in a hard bout. Martinez sent González (30-11, 26 KOs) to the canvas with a combination and the referee stopped the action.

It was Martinez's first bout since getting knocked out by Vasyl Lomachenko in June of 2016.

Also on the card, for the WBO Latino Title at 115 lbs., prospect JEYVIER CINTRÓN crushed  ELIECER QUEZADA in one round.

Cintron (10-0, 5 KOs), a two-time Puerto Rican Olympian, beat Quezada by knockout at 2:01 of the first round when put a hard right to the face of Quezada (22-9-3, 4KOs), who went to the floor for the count.

At super bantamweight, LUIS LEBRÓN stopped  JOSÉ ALFREDO FLORES in the third round.

Lebrón  (16-0-1, 9 KOs) won by TKO at 1:39 of round three. Lebron sent Flores (6-9, 3 KOs) down and the referee stopped the fight. Flores was down three times in round two.

In an upset, undefeated heavyweight prospect CLAYTON LAURENT JR. of the Saint Thomas, US.Virgin Islands, was knocked out by JOSÉ GARCÍA of Mexico City, Mexico.

In a surprise to many at ringside, Mexico's García  (3-1, 2 KOs) picked up the knockout win when he drilled Laurent Jr. (5-1, 5 KOs), who went down after a hard right to end the bout at 1:51 of round three. Laurent is promoted by Lou DiBella.
