SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO- Three-time former world champion Roman "Rocky" Martinez (29-3-3, 17 KOs) will return to the ring on Friday, June 1 in Barranquilla Colombia, in a 10 round bout in what will be his first professional fight at 135 pounds.

Martinez who was world champion three times in super featherweight will rise in division for the first time in his career.

"They have been many years [of fighting] in the same weight and my body no longer adjusts to it well, so I didn't the same strength in my last fight against Lomachenko."

Martinez hopes that a victory in his next fight will lead him to get a world-wide opportunity in the 135 pounds, where he aspires to become champion for the fourth time in his career.

On the other hand, two-time Puerto Rican Olympian Jeyvier Cintron (5-0, 3 knockouts) linked to Top Rank, will have his second professional fight in Colombia after winning by fourth round knockout on Friday, April 27 at the Hotel The Prado in Barranquilla over Colombian fighter Jhonatan Burgos.

For Cintron, who is the only Puerto Rican fighter to participate in two Olympics (2012 and 2016), will be his fourth bout so far this year.

IN OTHER NEWS: Cristofer "Latigo" Rosales, the WBC flyweight champion, is back in the gym and he's being supervised by his new coach Gustavo Herrera, after almost a month of vacation.

And in spite of the well earned vacation, he's taken well care of his diet. The champion weighs 126 pounds, with no date yet for the first defense of his world title.

"I can not neglect the weight, so I decided to return to the gym sooner. I wanted to work with Gustavo Herrera for a long time, I had already told him but informally. Thank God with my team we decided to include Gustavo, it was my decision to reinforce the team and he will be very useful," said Rosales.
