Roman Martinez and Orlando Salido put on two very enteraining bouts in 2015. On April 11th, Martinez took Salido's WBO 130-pound title in Puerto Rico and then in their rematch on September 12th on the Floyd Mayweather-Andre Berto undercard in Las Vegas, they fought to a draw. In 24 rounds it was shown that their styles were made for one another.

Now, they are slated to do it again.

Sean Gibbons of Zanfer Promotions( which handles Salido) told BoxingScene.com on Thursday - "We're getting very close to doing something at the end of February, the first part of March, there are discussions for Mexico, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Of course, they want Puerto Rico."

"So there's like three options on the table right now. So by next Friday one of them will be chosen. We have a very good amount of money from the government of Mexico. If Rocky don't like Mexico and Salido don't like Puerto Rico, where's the natural place? United States."

According to Gibbons the three possibilities to land Gonzalez-Salido III in the States are New York, Texas and California.
