Undefeated Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez (29-0, 24 KOs) is heading out to Las Vegas, where on Saturday night at the MGM Grand, he makes the next defense of WBA junior flyweight crown against Mexican veteran Omar "Lobito" Soto (22-7-2, 15KOs). Gonzalez's motivation is huge, and it's not just a matter of extending his unbeaten record to 30 wins, but the fact he enters the U.S. market for the very first time. He wants to make an impacet and plans to leave a big impression.

"Roman has done a great job for this fight. He was sparring with boxers who were strong, agile, and for a month he sparred with Panamanian Ricardo Nunez, who demanded a lot from him. I have full confidence that its going to be a great fight," said Arnulfo Obando, the coach of Gonzalez.

Gonzalez is leaving Nicaragua at 110-pounds, and shouldn't have any issues with making the contracted weight of 108.
