25-year-old Roman Fury, the younger brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, made his professional debut on Saturday night with a four round decision win over Ryan Hibbert in Doncaster.

The referee handed down the sole score of 40-36.

Roman, a cruiserweight prospect, was led to the ring by his father John Fury and brothers Tyson and Tommy Fury.

The newest Fury on the scene is planning to fight again on November 12, as part of the undercard to the exhibition clash between former world champions Ricky Hatton and Marco Antonio Barrera.

"I'll have a drink, I'm off for two days. [Then] straight back in the gym. I'm hungry baby and I'm gonna get it," Roman Fury told Sporty Stuff TV.

"Boxing has saved my life. I've been in a dark, dark place that I never thought I'd come out of, and it saved me. It really has."

Some observers believe Roman's style of boxing, and the way he moves, is similar to his brother Tyson.

"[My abilities] must be inherited because I've had a load of people saying I box like [my brother Tyson], I resemble him," Roman Fury said.

"So that's only good things isn't it. I felt good in there, I felt loose. And that was the key for me, that's what everyone's been saying, 'control yourself, be loose and look experienced' and I didn't look like a novice at all did I? I looked like an experienced boxer so I'm very happy with it.

"I couldn't have asked for a better debut. I've never experienced anything like this before in my life. So I'm just happy with how I dealt with it, I'm proud of myself, I've gained confidence and it's on to the next one now. [My opponent] had tons of fights, thanks to Ryan [Hibbert] for taking the fight. I've learnt lots from him, he's not just a pushover, he's a very experienced guy. And yeah I'm very happy with [my debut]."
