Live, professional boxing is back at Atlantic City’s historic Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall, in The Adrian Phillips Theater,  on Saturday, March 26 with the return of Boardwalk Boxing presented by Rising Star Promotions (RSP) - helmed by popular New Jersey middleweight contender and World Title challenger Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna – in association with the Atlantic City Sports Commission.  

“We’re thrilled to be back in Atlantic City at the Boardwalk Hall where boxing fans through the decades have experienced so many memorable fights featuring some of the sport’s all-time greats. From Mike Tyson, George Foreman, and Evander Holyfield to Sugar Ray Leonard, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Bernard Hopkins, and a pair of epic battles between Arturo Gatti and Mickey Ward, AC is a true fight town and has hosted the best,” said, LaManna, who boasts 31 wins in his own pro career but will serve solely as the show promoter for this card.  

“Our goal is to present entertaining, quality fights from rising regional stars hungry for their shot on a card that will appeal to both old-school boxing aficionados and newer fans just discovering this sweet science.” 

After a brief hiatus (RSP’s last show in AC was held on July 20, 2019, at the Showboat Hotel) the original Boardwalk Boxing series is back with a 10-bout card stacked with top regional prospects, featuring undefeated Puerto Rican bantamweight Emmanuel “Salserito” Rodriguez (10-0, 5KOs, Newark, N.J. by way of Quebradillas, Puerto Rico) in the eight-round Main Event against Frank "El Castigador" Gonzalez (9-2, 4KOs, Miami, Fla).

Top Washington, D.C. area welterweight “Sharp Shooter” Greg Outlaw (9-1, 4KOs) will face undefeated Jonathan Montrel (12-0, 7KOs) of New Orleans, La., while Atlantic City hometown fighter Decarlo Perez (19-6-1, 7KOs) will square off against Queens, N.Y. brawler DeVaun Lee (10-8-1, 5KOs) in a super middleweight bout. Both bouts are set for eight-rounds.  

Junior welterweights Dan Murray (5-5) of Lanoka Harbor, N.J. and Michael Hughes (2-1, 1KO) of New York, N.Y. will tangle in a six-round contest. Piscataway, N.J. A highly accomplished amateur with nearly 100 bouts who was a 2021 New Jersey Golden Gloves Champion and 2016 USA Junior National Team member, Gabriel Gerna will make his professional debut in a scheduled four-round bout at 130-lbs. against South Carolina’s David Ashely (0-1). Other boxers slated to compete on the card are featherweight John Leonardo (6-0-1, 4KOs) of Manalapan, N.J., middleweight Zach “The Kid” Dubnoff (4-2, 2KOs) of Springfield, N.J., junior welterweight Kurt Scoby (6-0, 4KOs) of New York N.Y., flyweight Andy Dominquez (5-0, 3KOs) of Las Vegas, Nev. and heavyweight Travorus Barnes (4-0, 3KOs) of New Orleans, La.
