The team behind the Polish giant, Mariusz Wach (24-0, 12 KO), have rejected a fight proposal to face rising contender Robert Helenius (15-0, 10 KO). After careful examination of the offer from Sauerland Events, the representatives of the Polish decided to reject it. They want to delelop Wach the right way and want to avoid hurting his career by chasing a fast payday. The Polish heavyweight will return on June 18 in Atlantic City.

However, discussions are still ongoing for a possible fight between Helenius and former WBO champion Sergei Liakhovich. Promoter Kathy Duva of Main Events set a counter-offer back to Sauerland and is currently waiting for a response. Helenius is slated to return on June 25 in Germany.
