Savonlinna, Finland - The Nordic Nightmare, heavyweight contender Robert Helenius, 32-4, is back in action and bounced back when he scored a TKO victory in the third round over a brave but overmatched opponent in Mika Mielonen (6-1) in an all Finnish matchup.

Their fight was the headliner of the annual show at the castle in Savonlinna in eastern Finland.

Helenius, in his first fight since losing by way of a first round knockout to Deontay Wilder late last year in New York City, took his time, allowed Mielonen to attack but gradually upped the pace as the fight played out.

In the third, the writing was on the wall with Mielonen breathing heavily and then Robert scored with a single right that left his opponent reeling helpless into the ropes and referee Anssi Perajoki quickly jumped in to make a timely stoppage.

Helenius appeared to be in good shape and seems to be ready for new adventures in the heavyweight division.

In the chief support, super featherweight Jose Antonio Sanchez Romero (16-1-1) got a good workout from Georgian journeyman Khvicha Gigolashvili and won clearly after six.

Two Georgian journeymen scored wins on the undercard as both Sandro Jajanidze and Irakli Jeranashvili scored split decisions over Finns Amin Nuri (5-2) and Olavi Hagert (7-1) respectively.
