LAS VEGAS – Robert Easter Jr. somehow continued to make the lightweight limit pretty easily Friday.

The 5-feet-11 Easter, unusually tall for the 135-pound division, stepped on the Nevada State Athletic Commission’s scale at 133½ pounds for his fight Saturday night against Rances Barthelemy. The Cuban-born Barthelemy officially weighed 135 pounds.

The Easter-Barthelemy bout will headline Showtime’s tripleheader from The Chelsea inside The Cosmopolitan.

The 28-year-old Easter (21-1, 14 KOs), of Toledo, Ohio, will fight for the first time since Mikey Garcia beat him by unanimous decision in their 12-round lightweight title unification fight July 28 at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The 32-year-old Barthelemy (27-1, 14 KOs, 1 NC) fought his past three bouts at the junior welterweight limit of 140 pounds. The Las Vegas resident is a former IBF junior lightweight, IBF lightweight and WBA super lightweight champion.

Just before Easter and Barthelemy got on the scale, Viktor Postol and Mohamed Mimoune made weight for their 12-round WBC super lightweight elimination match.

Ukraine’s Postol (30-2, 12 KOs), a former WBC 140-pound champion, weighed in at 139¼ pounds. France’s Mimoune (21-2, 2 KOs) came in at 138½ pounds.

The Postol-Mimoune match will be the second bout broadcast by Showtime.

Earlier Friday, Nigerian knockout artist Efe Ajagba (9-0, 8 KOs) weighed in at 241 pounds for his 10-round heavyweight fight against Michael Wallisch. Germany’s Wallisch (19-1, 12 KOs) came in at 242½ pounds.

The 33-year-old Wallisch will try to bounce back from a fifth-round knockout loss to Germany’s Christian Hammer (24-6, 14 KOs) in his last fight, December 15 in Hamburg, Germany. The 25-year-old Ajagba has won three straight bouts by knockout since journeyman Curtis Harper walked out of the ring as soon as their August 24 fight began in Minneapolis.

The Ajagba-Wallisch bout will open Showtime’s three-bout broadcast at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
