Two-time Olympic gold medal winner Robeisy Ramirez of Cuba is looking to get the biggest fights possible in 2022.

More than anything, Ramirez hopes to secure a world title shot in the next twelve months.

In his last ring appearance, Ramirez picked up a solid decision win over Puerto Rico's Orlando “Capu'' González in October, as part of the undercard to the trilogy fight between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury.

At the moment he's waiting for Top Rank to present him with a date for his next fight.

The goal is to have a world title fight before the end of next year, with WBO champion Emanuel Navarrete at the top of his target list.

"We are waiting for a date, we hope it will be at the beginning of the year, at the end of January or the beginning of February, but I have to be ready for that. I have already started the pre-camp with the physical trainer, Larry Wade, and we are hitting the weights hard, then we will do the tracks and with Salas we will work on the strategy," Ramirez told George Ebro.

"Several names have been mentioned [to face me], but they did not accept. It wasn't from me. I am always ready to fight, as I have always said. So we'll see who's going to be ready for me at 126 pounds, a division that I feel very comfortable with. The idea is to go for a world championship before the end of 2022. The plan is to do two or three more fights and go for a world championship. We want high level opponents, with a good record, that all of the opponents are of a higher quality, from Capu upwards, so I will continue to prove myself.

"Navarrete is a boxer who does not have much technique, coordination, but he wins, because he is strong, he punches, he has physical conditioning. I think he is the best of everyone, above Gary Russell. My career is oriented towards having the tactics and tools to beat him."
