Rob Brant faces Jurgen Braehmer in Germany in what is the last quarter-final bout of the World Boxing Super Series super middleweight tournament. Throughout his career Brant (22-0, 15 KO's) has been a middleweight but has moved up for this opportunity to up his profile world-wide.

But even if he should win the Muhammad Ali Trophy, which will be given to the winner, Brant will be moving back down in weight according to his promoter.

"There's a 100-percent chance," confirmed Greg Cohen. "Even if he wins - or should I say, when he wins this tournament - he's a 160-pounder. Rob is going to go back down and win a world title at 160."

Brant was actually in line to fight for a portion of the WBA title at the beginning of this year.

"Rob was the mandatory for the winner of (Ryoto) Murata-(Hassan) N'Dam and that ended in controversy and they needed to go with a rematch," explained Cohen of the first bout between Murata and N'Dam which was won in highly controversial fashion by N'Dam. The WBA ordered an immediate rematch that took place this past Sunday in Japan and it was Murata leaving no doubt this time around by halting N'Dam in seven.

While all of this was going on, Brant and his team decided to make a move.

"The decision was made, 'Hey, we can get in this tournament,'' 'said Cohen, who actually initiated the contact with the World Boxing Super Series about his client's availability and willingness to participate.

"Even though it's 168 (pounds), Rob fought at 189 in the amateurs. We made the decision as a team that this was a great opportunity. The money is insane and when we saw the other contestants - we were very, very confident in Rob's chances."
