Veteran trainer Freddie Roach, who works the corner of WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao, is not expected to every get a fifth opportunity to face Mexico's Juan Manuel Marquez in the ring.

After three controversial endings, with the first bout being a draw and Pacquiao winning two close decisions, they met for a fourth time in late 2012 - and Marquez scored a one-punch knockout victory in the sixth round.

Since the loss, Pacquiao has been trying to get Marquez in the ring for a fifth time, with no interest being shown from the Mexican fighter. Marquez, 41-years-old, is presently nursing a knee injury and admits he might retire if the injury persists.

"He's very happy the way the last fight ended. We would like to fight him again and settle things. But he doesn't want to talk and negotiate. I think it's smart because he doesn't want to get knocked out. I won't say that he was lucky because he threw the right punch at the right time. It's part of boxing," Roach said.
