Former junior featherweight world titleholder Rico Ramos will fight Prosper Ankrah on Saturday night, promoter Peter Rasmussen confirmed to BoxingScene.com.

The eight round featherweight bout will take place at the Los Angeles Badminton Club in El Monte, Calif.

Ramos (25-5, 12 KOs) is 2-2 in his last four bouts. In his last bout on June 11, Ramos dropped Justin Savi to win an eight round unanimous decision.

After winning his first 20 fights bouts as a pro, Ramos has only won five of his last 10 bouts.

Ramos won the WBA junior featherweight world title in July of 2011, knocking out Akifumi Shimoda in the seventh round. He would lose the world title in his first defense against Guillermo Rigondeaux over six months later.

Ankrah (24-8, 15 KOs) has lost his last four bouts in a row. In his last bout on July 9, Ankrah lost a one-sided decision to Manuel ‘Tino’ Avila.

Fringe welterweight contender Kim Poulsen (27-3, 7 KOs) of Denmark will face Gaku Takahashi (14-6-1, 6 KOs) in an eight round bout.

Junior middleweight Madiyar Ashkeyev (5-0, 3 KOs) squares off against Martez Jackson (3-0-2, 2 KOs) in a six round bout.
