Promoter Ricky Hatton is convinced that Martin Murray is getting a hold of WBC middleweight king Sergio Martinez at the right time. This Saturday the unbeatn Murray (25-0-1, 11KOs) will challenge Martinez (50-2-2, 28KOs) before 40,000 fans at Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield in Buenos Aires, Distrito Federal, Argentina. Hatton states that Martinez's age, along with his recent injuries and tough twelfth round against Chavez, make it the perfect opportunity for Murray to prevail.

"The opportunity and timing are everything in boxing. And I am convinced every day that Martin is faced Martinez at the right time in the life of the two, not only of Murray," Hatton told BoxingScene's Carlos Irusta. "Sergio is 38 years with some injuries that are known to everyone and had to fight for his life in the last round of his fight against Julio Cesar Chavez, when he was on the floor. I do not mean by any means that the fight will be easy for Martin, no way. But I just think that is a boxer who is in his prime and will have a class approach."

"The other thing that makes me think that Martin can win is the fact that he is not afraid. Martin is ready to stick his head in the lion's mouth, as when he traveled to Germany to fight Felix Sturm: that night did a good job and now he is even more determined than ever to be crowned champion."
