TVRI Jakarta - Richard Samosir from the UOB Buana Gym, has proved that he is still the best Indonesian fighter in the bantamweight division. 25-year-old Samosir, ranked number-one in Indonesia, regained the bantamweight belt of the country by winning a ten round decision over Hari Suharyadi. Judges scored the fight 98-94, 97-95 and 98-95 all for Samosir.

After this victory, the new champ record's became 18-1-3 (7 KOs). Richard Samoir was the former Indonesian bantamweight titleholder, but his title was stripped after he lost by way of a sixth round knockout to Jonathan Baat in their WBO Oriental interim bout last August 23. Now hitting the regional Asian ratings, Samosir was placed at OPBF #10 and PABA #3.

In the undercard bout in the featherweight division, Philipus Rangga decisioned Anshori Anhar over eight rounds. The scores were 79-76, 78-76 and 78-75, all for Rangga.
