Ricardo Quiroz will square off against Jamaine Ortiz on Feb.23, it was told to BoxingScene on Wednesday night.

The eight round clash between unbeaten lightweight prospects will take place at the Twin River Event Center in Lincoln, Rhode Island.

Quiroz (10-0, 5 knockouts) resides in the boxing hotbed of Oxnard, California, where he also trains. The 21-year-old Quiroz has sparred the likes of junior welterweight contender Ray Beltran and unbeaten junior lightweight Ryan Garcia.

In his last bout on Dec. 1, Quiroz knocked out Luis Cueto in the opening round. He has stopped three of his last four opponents.

Quiroz is a 2015 graduate of Hueneme High School in Oxnard.

Ortiz (9-0, 5 KOs) is one year older than Quiroz and resides in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Ortiz has not fought since May 11, a third round knockout win over veteran Tyrone Luckey. All but one of Ortiz’s fights have taken place at the Twin River Event Center.

Also on the CES Boxing Promotions card, featherweight Shelly Vincent will face Edina Kiss of Hungary in an eight round bout.

The fight is a rematch of their 10 round clash on May 5, a fight Vincent won by majority decision.

Vincent (23-2, 1 KO), who resides in nearby Providence, lost a 10 round unanimous decision to unbeaten Heather Hardy on Oct. 27 in New York City.

Kiss (15-9, 9 KOs) has lost seven of her last 10 bouts.

Marcus Bates (5-2, 3 KOs) will square off against Jair Ramos (5-2-2, 2 KOs) in a six round welterweight bout.
