A few days ago, super bantamweight champion Rey Vargas was presented in the auditorium of the Union of Railway Workers of the Mexican Republic as part of the traditional "Martes de Café" where he talked about his latest victory and what's coming next in his career.

Vargas, who is unbeaten as a professional, defended successfully his super bantamweight title of the World Boxing Council, defeating the also unbeaten Colombian Oscar "Jaguar" Negrete at Madison Square Garden's Theater in New York on the night of November 25.

"First I want to recover one hundred percent from the wounds suffered from the ead butts. Height is a great advantage if you know how to use it. Negrete did a lot of ducking and that made things difficult, he was a very crafty fighter who was allowed to do a lot of the things he wants to do in there. I had to change my tactics and came away with the win," Vargas said.

"I felt two very strong headbutts, it was part of his tactics. I kept my composure, remained world champion and stayed undefeated, now I'll sit down and talk with my promoters to give them my concerns" , he pointed.

"I have no problems with Don Nacho, lately we have been unable to coordinate times but it's a matter of settling into the team, there no personal problems," said Vargas with regards to the rumors about a breakup with trainer Ignacio Beristain.

"I would like to unify championships, at this point it is important for me to have all four titles, in my mind is to maintain harmony in my team, I do not want to get into things that are beyond what concerns my decisions, I do not want will leave the WBC, we are a big family."

Rey plans consist of - "I have three months of forced rest, I do not fear anyone but I would like attractive and better paid fights. [Mandatory challenger] Julio Ceja is not just any opponent, he is a former world champion and has a high level of difficulty."
