Rances Barthelemy is ready to take his career to the next level. The two-time world champion will step into the ring on Saturday, May 13, to face Omar Juárez as part of a Showtime televised tripleheader from The Chelsea, inside The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

The card will be headlined by Alberto Puello defending his World Boxing Association 140-pound belt against Rolando "Rolly'' Romero.

"I'm looking forward to putting on a good show against a young and hungry fighter like Omar Juárez," Barthelemy stated to George Ebro. "I want to thank everyone who has put me in this situation and made this fight possible."

With a training base in Miami under the orders of head coach Orlando Cuéllar, Barthelemy (29-2-1, 15 KOs, 1 NC) faces a solid opponent in Juárez who arrives with a three-win streak and who has not lost since June 2021, when he was beaten by All Rivera.

Barthelemy returns after a loss to Gary Antuanne Russell from last July, in a fight where many felt that the referee waved off the bout a little too prematurely.

A world champion at 130 and 135 pounds, Barthelemy owns notable wins over Argenis Mendez, Antonio DeMarco, Mickey Bey and Denis Shafikov.

“At this stage of my career, it's about building my legacy and that means getting a knockout on May 13,'' Barthelemy said. "My hands will fly when the bell rings."

Juarez (14-1, 5 KOs), 23, steps into the ring fueled by the current momentum of his recent wins.

“This is the biggest fight of my life and I am very grateful to my team for making it possible,” Juárez said. “Rances brings a tremendous amount of experience to the ring so I know I have to make the right adjustments as this fight progresses. I know that if I win this fight, great doors will continue to open for me. So believe me when I say I'm here to win and to win impressively."
