BoxingScene.com has been advised that former champion Rafael Marquez (41-7, 37KOs) will return to the gym on Friday and start testing out his right hand. The Mexican fighter was scheduled to face Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. (21-2-1, 18KOs) this coming Saturday at the Coliseo Ruben Rodriguez in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Marquez badly injured a knuckle on his right hand and withdrew from the fight. The promoters have rescheduled their fight to October 6th, at the same venue.
