Former two division world champion Rafael Marquez (41-7, 37KOs) admitted that a potential loss to Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. (21-2-1, 18KOs), on October 6th at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon, could be his retirement. If he wins, the 37-year-old fighter could see himself fighting for another two years. The two fighters are going to fight for the vacant WBO International super bantamweight title and the winner could fall in line for a title shot.

Marquez wants the fans to be aware that his entire career is at stake and for that reason he is willing to "die on the line." After taking a few opportunities at featherweight, Marquez feels more comfortable at super bantamweight.

"A loss could mean retirement," said Marquez. "Striking is the key to success. I feel great, stronger and faster at 122 pounds. We have been training hard and we are coming to Puerto Rico to give everything. I know the kind of fighter that I am and I'm coming to give a good fight in the ring."
