Quinton Randall may be a fighter to keep an eye, especially in the welterweight division.

Randall remained unbeaten Saturday night, defeating Willie Jones by unanimous decision this past Saturday night inside the Chelsea Ballroom at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Scores were 79-73, 79-73, and 78-74 for Randall, who improved to 13-0-1, 3 knockouts.

“The fight went as expected,” said Randall after the fight. “We could’ve gotten him out of there. We hurt him a couple of times, but I didn’t press the gas like I should’ve. I hurt him in the fourth, fifth, and sixth rounds. We dominated. We got the rounds. I’m ready to go again.”

The 32-year-old fought over four weeks ago on June 17, dropping once-beaten Terry Chatwood twice en route to a knockout win in Houston, not far from his home in Katy. In his previous fight on September 29, Randall defeated fringe contender Luis Hernandez Ramos by majority decision.

Randall has been used as a sparring partner for unified world welterweight titleholder Errol Spence. After a recent sparring session, Spence made a few phone calls to see if Randall could fight on this past Saturday’s Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) card. Ironically, Spence is trained by Derrick James, who also trains lightweight contender Frank Martin, who defeated Artem Harutyunyan by unanimous decision on the card that aired on Showtime.

Saturday marked Randall’s fourth fight within a year.

Randall is managed by Derek Collinsworth and is a promotional free agent.

Jones, who resides in Burlington, North Carolina, falls to 9-3, 6 KOs. In his previous fight on February 25, Jones scored a first round knockout win over previously-unbeaten Derrick Jackson.

The 31-year-old has now split his last four fights
