Welterweight prospect Quinton Randall is not shying away from facing the best available competition.

Randall will again face another prospect, this time Terry Chatwood tonight at the GSH Event Center in his hometown of Houston, Texas. The eight-round bout will stream live on clearlifemedia.com ($24.99, 7:30 p.m. ET/ 4:30 p.m. PT).

The 32-year-old Randall (11-0-1, 2 knockouts) last fought on September 29, defeating fringe contender Luis Hernandez Ramos by majority decision. The win over Hernandez took place two and a half months after Randall defeated once-beaten prospect Ivan Pandzic by unanimous decision.

The only blemish on his record was a technical decision draw against gatekeeper Ivan Alvarez on February 24 of last year. An unintentional clash of heads opened a cut above Alvarez’s eye that prevented Alvarez from being allowed to continue fighting.

Randall was originally scheduled to face unbeaten Carlos Alberto Garcia of Tijuana, but Garcia backed out of the fight a few weeks ago. There was reportedly no reason given why Garcia backed out from the Randall fight.

Manager Derek Colllinsworth is glad Chatwood stepped in. He and promoter Forris Washington believe Randall is a top prospect.

“Someone wised up and Chatwood stepped in,” Collinsworth told BoxingScene on Thursday. “Montana Love reached out and we started his camp in Ohio for (his fight against Richardson) Hitchens. Our opponent sometimes fights as a southpaw so we’ve been in camp with Errol as he prepares for the (Terence) ‘Bud’ (Crawford) fight. We sparred with Errol for ‘Bud.’ We’ll get back to it next week with Errol.

“Everyone in boxing knows Quinton. We’re free agents. Someone will wise up soon.”

Chatwood (12-1-1, 6 KOs), who resides in North Little Rock, Arkansas, also fought on the same September 29 card, knocking out former fringe contender Eudy Bernardo in the fifth round. The 39-year-old has won his last three fights since losing by knockout to welterweight contender

Radzhab Butaev.

Also on the card, unbeaten middleweight prospect Andreas Katzourakis, another fighter promoted by Washington, will square off against Marcelo Bzowski of Argentina in a six-round bout.

Katzourakis (9-0, 7 KOs), who is originally from Athens, Greece and now resides in Los Angeles, California, stopped Rodrigo Octavio Gonzalez in the sixth round of his last bout on April 1. The 25-year-old has stopped four of his last five opponents.

Bzowski (11-22-3) last fought prospect Darrelle Valsaint in his last bout on May 17, losing by knockout in the second round.

In a compelling junior middleweight clash, Ivan Vazquez (9-0-1, 6 KOs), who is originally from Monterrey, Mexico and now resides in Houston, will face Reshard Hicks (13-1-1, 7 KOs) of nearby Killeen in an eight-round bout.
