The pro journey for Bryan Polaco now includes an official promoter to go along with his first career win.

All-Star Boxing Inc. put ink to paper in signing the four-time Puerto Rico national amateur champion to a promotional deal. The move comes immediately after Polaco enjoyed his successful pro debut, scoring a 1st round knockout on Friday’s summer season premiere of Boxeo Telemundo at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Florida.

“I am glad to have signed with All-Star Boxing,” stated Polaco (1-0, 1KO), a 22-year old southpaw from Fajardo, Puerto Rico. “They have a solid Puerto Rican fan base here in Kissimmee and this is where I want to build my career.”

For now, fan base participation will be limited to home viewers due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Polaco racked up several honors in his native Puerto Rico, including having advanced to the national championships in five straight years. The gifted welterweight also claimed a Silver medal in the Central America and Caribbean Games and Bronze medal in the Continental Games as part of a run which advanced Polaco to a Top 10 worldwide ranking in the 152-pound division.

Polaco and national amateur teammate Omar Rosario—who makes his pro debut this Friday on Telemundo—were considered heavy favorites to medal for Puerto Rico in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Both had to put their dreams on hold by a full year due to the global health crisis.

Rosario makes his pro debut this Friday from the very same venue as Polaco, who keeps alive his Olympic dream while also developing his skills in the pro ranks.

“Given the opportunity, Bryan will look to qualify to represent Puerto Rico in the Tokyo Olympics [next] Summer in the 152 lb. weight class,” noted Ruben De Jesus, director of operations for All-Star Boxing. “We certainly are going to support his endeavor; in the meantime we will be keeping him very busy.”

The signing represents a massive honor for the Miami-based company, coming at a time when the Boxeo Telemundo series has been able to relaunch.

"We are glad to have Bryan as part of the All Star Boxing family," said Tuto Zabala Jr, president of All-Star Boxing. “He will have plenty of opportunity to flourish in the pros and will be among the busiest boxers in the sport.”

Plans already call for Polaco to return on the undercard of three more Telemundo cards, including the summer season finale on September 4. From there, Polaco will repeat the same formula, as he is slotted to fight on the fall season premiere on October 2 and the 2020 finale on October 23.
